Healing GardenWorking with Prospect Waterproofing, E-Landscape recently completed work on the installation of a new healing garden on the rooftop of the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The Garden, part of an upgrade to an existing terrace space at the Center, is designed to give patients at the National Naval Medical Center a serene space to relax during their rehabilitation.

Our scope of work included plant installation and the sourcing of specimen trees, including some unusual varieties (such as Harry Lauder’s Walking, Weeping White Pine, and Weeping Norway Spruce), to replace sentimental plantings in place in the prior garden. Due to the height of the rooftop, plant materials and equipment had to be lifted by a crane and put into place.

We at E-Landscape are very proud to have played a part in this project at the National Naval Medical Center. It is a privilege to create a space in which the people who have served our country can heal in peace.
