E-Landscape Specialty Solutions is partnering with Richard Sweeney Landscape Architecture to participate in the global event PARK(ing) Day in downtown Annapolis. PARK(ing) Day began as a demonstration movement by artists in San Francisco to raise awareness for alternatives uses of public spaces. It is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks. The mission of PARK(ing) Day is to call attention to the need for more urban open space, to generate critical debate around how public space is created and allocated, and to improve the quality of urban human habitat.

We will be temporarily transforming a public parking space in front of Tsunami Sushi Bar & Lounge on West Street in downtown Annapolis into a park for locals, commuters and tourists to enjoy! Our park will show the many options available to maintain pervious surfaces.

Please stop by to visit and sign up to take home some of our plant material at the end of the day.
