Before: Buchanan Gardens

This summer will see the team at E-Landscape spending quite a bit of time in Arlington, Virginia as we complete the landscape installation for Buchanan Gardens. Our work is part of a major, $32 million renovation by the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) of this 111-unit, 100% affordable housing community in the Columbia Pike corridor.

“Buchanan Gardens, built in 1949, will undergo extensive renovations,” said Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing’s President/CEO Nina Janopaul. “Residents, relocated temporarily during our threephase renovation, will return to an apartment community that has increased energy efficiency, all new systems and finishes; new interior fixtures and appliances; new family-size, three-bedroom units; a community room; and a playground.”

  • Supplying bioretention soil and plantings
  • Tree pit drainage
  • Tying downspouts
  • Installing new yard inlets
  • Installing egress window wells
  • Installing brick pavers and site furnishings
  • Grass pave 2
  • Foundation planting
  • Installing playround equipment (including a sandbox) and surfacing

“Our work at Buchanan Gardens is a true testament to the full range of installation services that E-Landscape can provide,” explained E-Landscape President Eric Drenner. “From soil excavation and foundation planting, to the installation of window wells and playground equipment, our team has the experience to provide clients with end-to-end solutions for commercial projects. ”
